On Friday 21st December 2007, McGill Services Limited was sold to HERTEL UK Limited.
McGill has developed its business in recent years to become a specialist in the manufacture of modular accommodation units, mainly for the marine and offshore industry.
HERTEL UK is part of Hertel holding, a worldwide industrial services provider. The acquisition will enable them to further expand their current UK activities into the defence and offshore industries.
The sale by VINCI PLC is a further step in the Company’s strategy to focus on its key activities of building, civil engineering, fit out and maintenance.

Modular Cabins
McGill operate a long established modular accommodation design and build business which has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of all our customers. The business has been operating from our purpose built Billingham facilities equipped with the design, engineering and manufacturing processes necessary to deliver complete packages.
Thermal Insulation, Cladding and Acoustic Systems
Thermal and acoustic insulation systems to bulkheads, decks, pipes, vessels, tanks, and ducting. McGill are experienced in the installation of the many specifications of both acoustic and thermal insulation systems, with sheet metal and similar over-cladding systems.
Partitions, Liners, Doors and Ceilings
Fire rated internal partition systems, complete with doors and suspended ceiling. We are experienced in all systems, such as Inexa, Norac, BD Systems, Isolamin, Dampa, Danacoustic, MBM, Lolamat, Cape Marine, and US/British Gypsum.
Furniture and Furnishing
Designed to facilitate the requirements of the customer and improve the comfort and feel of the areas important to people, whether in their cabins or relaxing in public areas such as restaurants and bars.

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
Complete HVAC systems, designed, fabricated, installed, tested, and commissioned. All systems are catered for, from building service standard through to heavy-duty steel and stainless steel types. McGill provides complete installations including air handling units, chillers, fire dampers and exposed aperture treatments.
Deck Coverings
Cementations and epoxy based deck screeds, finishes, carpets, vinyl, and raised access flooring.
Mechanical & Electrical
Domestic Mechanical and Electrical services are provided to complete accommodation outfitting spaces.
Prefabricated Accommodation
Accommodation units, modular units which include cabins, bathrooms etc.
